Distribution according to Professions (Fig.1)

We are frequently asked by potential sponsors which professions will be attending Mednet99. The following data are based on 321 pre-registered participants as of 7.7.1999.

Physicians (40%) are the largest group, followed by "other non-health profession" with 27% (usually informaticians/programmers) and "other health professionals" (20%), e.g. health services provider.

These figures do not include Saturday, where we expect in addition German physicians, e.g. Niedergelassene and Krankenhausärzte (for the German Track) and additional consumers/patients for the Patientennachmittag.

Distribution according to Countries (Fig. 2)

From the 321 pre-registered participants as of 7.7.1999, expected participants come from more than 52 different countries . The approximate distribution of the top nationalities is shown below in fig. 2.

Opportunities for Sponsors

There are different levels of sponsorship available, eg

BRONZE (sponsor is mentioned on the congress webpage and in all publications. 40% discount if he wants - in addition to the sponsorship - an exhibition table): Minimum sponsorship DEM 1000,- (approx. 500 Euro)

 

SILVER (benefits as for Bronze Sponsors, in addition, sponsor gets a "lifelong" web banner on congress homepage with link to his page, is mentioned on all publications with the company logo, leaflets are distributed on the congress and sponsor is mentioned on all email communications): Minimum sponsorship DEM 3000,- (approx. 1500 Euro)

 

GOLD (benefits as for Silver Sponsors, in addition, sponsor is mentioned orally on the congress, and emphasized in all press releases, email-announcements, on the homepage and in printed publications as being one of the major sponsors of the congress): Minimum sponsorship DEM 5000,- (approx. 2500 Euro)

 

PLATINUM sponsor (main sponsor, includes benefits as for Silver Sponsors, a free large exhibition booth and the additional possibility to give a presentation at the plenary session): Min. DEM 10000,- (approx. 5000 Euro)

 

Travel support and poster price

We are also looking for a companies (XcompanynameX) sponsoring the

• XcompanynameX Travel Grant (minimum 1000 Euro) for one (or more) participant(s) from a developing country
• XcompanynameX Poster Awards for the best poster presentation (minimum 250 Euro in cash, or useful products)

Exhibitors

Exhibition space is available on all congress days  (from Sunday, September 19th, until Tuesday, September 21st - 3 days) and now also on the workshop/tutorial day (see below) - in the Foyer of the Communication Center of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).

In the Foyer also the posters will be displayed and coffee breaks will be organized, thus visitors traffic to your booths is assured.

You can book 1, 2, 3 or 4 days. Please book as early as possible (first come - first served).

*An additional exhibition day will be Saturday, 18th. This day (devoted to tutorials and workshops, including a German track especially for German medical practitioners and clinicians) is particularly interesting for exhibitors who want to reach German physicians.

Fees per day:

Simple exhibition table (max 3,5 sq meters): DEM 1000 (per day)

40% exhibition discount for sponsors (Bronze onwards): DEM 600 (per day) for sponsors

Exhibition space >3,5 sq meters: DEM 1200 (per day)  + DEM 200 per sq meter if exceeding 4qm  (per day)
